Laurendeau Paul - On the "deformability" of notions in discourse. When we speak, we manipulate a certain number of socially stabilized notions that pre-exist the exchange. This manipulation tends to prove that these notions can be altered by the unfolding of the discursive exchange per se. We try to demonstrate here that such an alteration of notions in discourse is the rule rather than the exception. Using a corpus of narrations and descriptions in vernacular French from Quebec, we show first that the texts build a schématisation of certain sets of socio-cognitive representations.
